dtg

The Digital TV Group (DTG) is the industry association for digital television in the UK and is independent and not-for-profit. Formed in 1995 to facilitate the introduction of digital terrestrial TV in the UK, the Group is at the centre of UK digital TV development.  The DTG has over 150 members including broadcasters, platforms, manufacturers, technology providers, ISPs, retailers, government departments and charities who, together, publish and maintain the ‘D-Book’: the technical specification for UK digital terrestrial television and Connected TV. The DTG’s subsidiary, DTG Testing, was established by the industry to carry out conformance testing on digital television receivers. Having published the technical specification for Freeview HD in 2009 and for UK Connected TV in 2011, the DTG is focused on enhancing the consumer’s experience of Connected TV and providing consultancy to those developing TV platforms internationally, while DTG Testing is currently developing the test regime for Connected TV.
